At Roseneath Dental Care we take sterilization and hygiene very seriously by following the Department's of Health 'Health Technical Memorandum 01-05: Decontamination in primary care dental services' guidelines.
Our sterilization techniques are second to none. We have a dedicated decontamination area with two separate sterilization zones. The process starts in the 'dirty' zone where instruments are pre-disinfected, manually cleaned and inspected under an illuminated magnifier prior to sterilization. They then move onto the 'clean' zone where they are then sterilized in autoclaves, sealed and stored safely. All our sterilizing equipment is tested daily and undergoes regular and rigorous safety checks so that our patients can be treated in the safest possible environment. In addition to that we use as many single-use items as possible, such as suction tips, protective bibs, instrument trays and many more, so that we can avoid the need for sterilizing them altogether and therefore providing our patients with dental treatment in the safest way possible.
