Kids Club
At Roseneath we take caring for childrens teeth very seriously. All parents want their children to have the best for their childrens teeth and to avoid having unnecessary invasive dental treatment. This starts with the childs first visit to the practice where great care, patience and understanding is required to ensure a pleasant and even fun experience.
The children then become part of our "Kids Club". We encourage parents to bring the children to see the dentist every 6 months. They have a fun check up and then receive a free gift pack which inlcudes a new toothbrush, toothpaste and a few surprises - which they all love ! Nothing wrong with a bit of bribery to get them into good habits!
We recommend they see the hygienist annually initially. This is important to ensure they have proper claenings and that they are taught how to brush properly from the start. We will also give helpful advice to the children on diet and help encourage healthy eating. We sometimes book a family of children in together as this is a fun learning experience for all.
As the adult teeth begin to appear we will advise on various preventitive treatments to ensure strong healthy teeth for life. Keeping a close eye on teeth positions is also important and we will advise parents where orthodontics is necessary. Early intervention is important and this can often simplify the treatment needed.
